World Wide Web Caching for Internet in Thailand

چکیده

World Wide Web (WWW) is one of the hottest application on the Internet. Most of WWW sites are abroad and require traac through Thailand's international gateways. The deployment of WWW caching infrastructure in Thailand's Internet will decrease the redundance of international traac and decrease the respond time dramatically. WWW objects which were previously accessed will be stored in local caches and remain available locally to other users for further utilization without having to go the original source. A hierarchically structured WWW caching seems to be the best choice for Thailand's Internet. Harvest WWW cache is intended to be used as a building block due to its superior performance and hierarchical caching support.

A Novel Caching Strategy in Video-on-Demand (VoD) Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Networks Based on Complex Network Theory

The popularity of video-on-demand (VoD) streaming has grown dramatically over the World Wide Web. Most users in VoD P2P networks have to wait a long time in order to access their requesting videos. Therefore, reducing waiting time to access videos is the main challenge for VoD P2P networks. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for caching video based on peers' priority and video's popula...

A Design and Implementation Model for Web Caching Using Server “URL Rewriting“

In order to make surfing the internet faster, and to save redundant processing load with each request for the same web page, many caching techniques have been developed to reduce latency of retrieving data on World Wide Web. In this paper we will give a quick overview of existing web caching techniques used for dynamic web pages then we will introduce a design and implementation model that take...

An Analysis of Geographical Push-Caching

Most caching schemes in wide-area, distributed systems are client-initiated. Decisions of when and where to cache information are made without the beneet of the server's global knowledge of the usage patterns. In this paper, we present a new caching strategy: geographical push-caching. Using the server's global knowledge and a derived network topology, we distribute data to cooperating servers....

DynaCache: Weaving Caching into the Internet

World Wide Web traffic is swamping the Internet. In a recent study of backbone usage, HTTP packets comprised two-thirds of all activity. Internet service providers are adding capacity as fast as they can, but they can’t keep up with demand. Internet traffic doubles every six months. The net effect is that per-user bandwidth in the Internet core is down to 50 Kbps. Improvements at the edges—serv...
